David Kemper is the founder and Managing Partner of Belmont Equity Partners and brings over 30 years of professional real estate experience to the leadership of the firm. He established Belmont with a clear vision: to create lasting value in every real estate investment through a disciplined, hands-on, and entrepreneurial approach—while aligning the interests of all stakeholders with care and integrity.
David began his real estate career with Citi Bank Corporate Real Estate before moving to the equity side, where he completed over $1.0 billion in acquisition, development, and asset management transactions at Cadillac Fairview and NorthWest Value Partners.
Belmont Equity Partners has been especially active in real estate development, delivering projects across multiple asset classes—including office, industrial, retail, hospitality and residential. This broad development experience has become a defining strength of the firm.
David holds a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, specializing in Real Estate and Infrastructure. He has also been recognized by the Toronto Chapter of NAIOP with Real Estate Excellence (REX) Awards for outstanding achievements in development and leasing.
As Development Manager at Belmont Equity Partners, Marwan Zahra is responsible for managing projects from concept to completion across a range of asset classes, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. He plays a central role in site acquisition, financial modeling, municipal approvals, construction management, and operational initiatives ensuring alignment with Belmont’s strategic vision.
Marwan brings a well-rounded background in engineering, with prior experience in both engineering consulting and general contracting. This technical foundation enables him to collaborate effectively with architects, consultants, and municipal officials throughout all phases of the development process. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Civil Engineering from Western University and a professional engineering license (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario.
Forbes brings over nine years of experience in asset management and operations to Belmont Equity Partners. With a background in development, leasing, and commercial brokerage, his multidisciplinary perspective enables him to align operational and development objectives with investment performance. Forbes’ broad understanding of the asset lifecycle supports strategic decision-making and drives long-term value creation.
Forbes holds an Honours Specialization in Urban Development from Western University.
